Cholla Field

This is a good patch of cholla growing in South Mountain Park. 
The desert is nice & green for now (yellow = poppies [see two posts down]), thanks to the February rains. Click on the picture to see the panorama a bit closer.

Hey Dan, do you have any pictures of birds nests in cactus? We were at a nature center and a woman had a picture of that and I told Jenny that we should ask you if you had any--it was in a saguaro, too! Love the flower pics!

Coming up! Only this one is in a cholla cactus (different kind of cholla than those in this shot).
